Alan qualified BDS from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1970 and in the same year obtained his LDS, RCS (Eng) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
In 1975 he formed what has now become Knightsbridge Dental Care.
After qualification he took the SAAD (Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry) course and has treated many thousands of phobic dental patients using intra-venous and inhalation sedation techniques. He has recently updated this original qualification and is versed in the newest techniques and safety aspects.
He has a keen interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and has done so since the mid 1980s when he was one of the first dentists in Britain to place cosmetic porcelain veneers on front teeth to enhance a patient’s smile.
He is an experienced dental implantologist with a wealth of experience having placed dental implants since 1987.
He is an approved Invisalign practitioner. Invisalign is a virtually invisible way to straighten teeth without the need for conventional metal wires and brackets. It is especially suitable for adults who don’t want to be seen wearing braces.
He keeps fit by running to work.
