Preserve, protect, and enhance your oral health with our expert dental hygienists at Knightsbridge Dental Care.

Dental Hygienist

At Knightsbridge Dental Care, we believe that good dental health starts with meticulous oral hygiene. Our dental hygienists don’t just clean, they evaluate, educate, and empower you to maintain your dental health.

Often overshadowed by the brilliance of our teeth, our gums are the unsung heroes of our oral health, providing essential support and protection. When gum (periodontal) disease strikes, it poses a threat not just to our oral well-being but potentially to our overall health. Recent clinical studies have confirmed the link between gum disease and many medical diseases including cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes. At Knightsbridge dental Care, we are dedicated to offering specialised care in the realm of periodontology, ensuring your gums are in perfect health.

Ayee-Marie is an approachable, warm and gentle clinician. She qualified from Kings College School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2000 and has been practicing for over 20 years.

She has had a varied and rewarding career in dentistry starting with her vocational training position in community dentistry before she became a senior house officer in Maxillofacial Medicine with the Ministry of Defence at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.

This sparked Ayee-Marie’s interest in oral cancers and pathology as well as cultivating her flair for oral surgery, in particular the surgical removal of teeth and the placement of oral implants.

She then went on to obtain her Masters degree in Oral Implantology from the University of Warwick Medical school in 2008.

Ayee-Marie has worked for over 22 years in General Practice, both the National Health Service and privately, giving her a wide range of clinical experience and patient understanding.

She is an expert in making you feel at ease and comfortable.

She also has had the privileged position of sitting on the General Dental Council’s fitness to practice panel adjudicating on matters of clinical and professional negligence and misconduct.

Ayee-Marie has a special interest in treating dental-phobic patients and managing those suffering with jaw-related disorders and teeth grinding problems.  She does this through the use of holistic methods alongside traditional techniques.

Ayee-Marie has developed a strong reputation for carrying out full dental cosmetic makeovers and oral rehabilitation cases, using the top range of modern materials and techniques.

She also specialises in the placement of modern no preparation ceramic and non-ceramic veneers.  She regularly obtains referrals from a respected network of Maxillofacial consultants who she works closely with in managing these problems.

He is an experienced dental implantologist with a wealth of experience having placed dental implants (to replace missing teeth) since 1987.

He has a special interest in treating patients with dentophobia (fear of dentists).
